Fourth term for Anya

Anya Schnoor

Securities dealers have picked Anya Schnoor once again to be their chief spokeswoman on issues affecting the investment sector with policymakers and regulators.

Schnoor begins her fourth term as president of the Jamaica Securities Dealers Association (JSDA), following Wednesday's annual meeting in which she was unanimously elected to lead the group for another year.

The JSDA is a near eight-year-old organisation with 25 dealer members. Schnoor runs one of the largest investment houses in Jamaica, Scotia DBG Investment Limited, and she is also an executive vice-president in the parent operation, Scotia Group Jamaica.

Other officers on the JSDA executive include vice-president Gary Peart, the chief executive officer of Mayberry Investment Ltd; secretary, Julian Mair, chief investment strategist at Jamaica Money Market Brokers; and treasurer, Steven Gooden, vice- president of investments and trading at NCB Capital Markets Ltd.
